Thank you to all the participants for bringing such energy, enthusiasm and great ideas to the conference! Also a special thank you to all of the conference sponsors, your support of this conference is making a difference. Crossing Boundaries and Connecting Landscapes: Conserving the Northern Appalachian/Acadian Ecoregion was a gathering to launch a science-based, systematic approach to conserve and restore the ecoregion. At this conference 2C1Forest and our partners presented a scientific analysis of the ecoregion and the conservation priorities ahead. Participants increased connections with other groups and individuals and both created and strengthened on-the-ground conservation collaborations. New efforts were built on the interest, experience and knowledge of the participants in partnership with conservation organizations, government agencies, industry, researchers, and others representing a wide range of interests across the ecoregion. This event was an opportunity to become part of an ecoregion-wide initiative built on science, collaboration and innovation. It has been a great start to achieving our vision for a healthy ecoregion where human and ecological interests exist in sustainable harmony. Launched at the conference was our Online Atlas which is now available for anyone to use. We encourage you to explore it and to use it to support your work to implement our common vision. These conference pages will remain active for the coming months as a reference point for conference attendees and for information to the curious. We invite you to use the discussion forum to continue the interaction begun in Montreal. We also encourage you to use the Montreal - Go Green page as a resource for information on carbon offsetting of travel and ways of making your own travel more environmentally friendly.
